Where to Get a Great Logo
Finding a great logo at a price you can afford, can be hard.
So, to help you get the quality you need without breaking your budget, here’s a list of my favorite log design sites, ordered from cheapest to most expensive.
The $5 Logo
Just put your first site up? Looking for something quick that won’t break tear a hole in your budget?
Here’s the simple solution: Fiverr.
It’s a website filled with people offering all kinds of different services for just $5.
Whilst there are many different reasons you would use Fiverr (including getting bugs fixed in your site, images, videos, testamonials, and just about anything else you can think of), their logo section is great.
For just $5, you can get a custom designed logo, ready to use on your site.

The $99 Logo
If you’re looking for something a little more professional than the $5 logo, here’s your next step – 99designs.com Logo Design Store
It’s a portfolio site where you can browse HUNDREDS of pre-designed logos just waiting for your website name to be added in.
It’s a great place to pick up a professional looking logo without having to go through the hassle of writing a brief.

The $300 Logo
A pre-designed logo not what you’re after? Want something more personalised to your site and your brand? Then it’s time to crowd-source.
With traditional logo design, you select your designer, hand over a brief, and then wait patiently as they produce 2 or 3 (if you’re lucky) designs that you can then choose from.
If you do your homework and get the right designer from the start, you can end up with something incredible. But this is very hit and miss.
Crowd-sourcing does away with this ‘hit and miss’.
When you ‘Crowd-Source’ your logo design, you write a brief and submit it to a crowd-sourcing website. Hundreds of designers view your brief, submit their designs, listen to your feedback, and continue to produce designs until you’re satisfied with a design you want.
Sound better than sitting and waiting? Yeah, I think so as well.
There are two crowd-sourcing logo design sites I recommend:
2. Crowd Spring
Both sites will put your design brief in front of hundreds of designers and offer 100% money back guarantees. If you’re looking for a custom designed logo but want the freedom to choose and / or walk away, this is a great way to go.
NOTE: Both these sites also offer crowd-sourced design for other elements as well, including stationary, websites, and even t-shirts. Check out their full service offerings on their respective sites.
The $2,000+ Logo
This is where things start to get serious. If you’re not just interested in building a fun website, but are more focussed on building a brand, this is what you need to go after.
The $2,000+ logo isn’t just a nicely drawn shape and some ‘in fashion’ typography. It’s a full expression of everything your brand stands for.
Logo designers in this price range will take images and shapes that symbolise everything you want to convey through your brand and refine them down into a meaningful and powerful avatar for your brand.
This isn’t so much a ‘logo’. It’s a corporate identity.
If you’re looking for something in this league, you probably won’t be scouring this site for tips and tricks but hey, it’s nice to know what the big boys are doing.
Logo designers who operate in this price range won’t be found by Google ‘cheap logo designs’ but you can check out the work of logo designers who operate in this price range on BeHance.
It’s an INCREDIBLE site built for designers of all persuasions, to display and share their work. They have everything from photography, to fashion design, to advertising, to websites, and of course, corporate identities.
You can’t order through the site but you can get in contact with teh geniuses behind the designs and start the negotiation process.
